Death Becomes Her~ By Faith Harding

 Death Becomes Her

Faith Harding © 2/20/23

She had seen it

It wasn’t something she wanted to see

Death

From small insects

Lizards, birds

Death

Flowers, food & feelings

Death

She saw them

Entrails on the road

Cats, chickens

Her best friend in bed

Death

Frogs lay flat on the dirt path

She saw her father in a coffin

Death

Booze claims many

While guns kill

Pharma does its best to obliterate

Death

Cancer is either slow or fast

Pigs & cows scream at the slaughter

While viruses take over

Death

Gas the ones that are different

Penalize the poor

Death is always at the door

She has seen it all before

Ideas die

Freedoms are choked

Are you on a respirator?

Death

It’s a part of life

Suicide

Murder

Heart attack

Death

Old age

Dying a slow death

Trauma & rage

It’s a horror show

Blood & pain

Some of us faster than others

Insane

Death

She’s the lady of this house

All that enter knows

She has gathered all dead souls

As

Death becomes her
