Happy Father's Day 2017

Happy Father's Day ... I miss my Father ... this year is 20 yrs. He left this realm too soon but with a life that had been well lived. Compassionate, fair, funny and well liked by people he always had a little bit of self doubt ... and I guess his Aries self was constantly in pursuit of how to make him/it better.
He was a craftsman enjoying his woodworking and having his shop. He made such beautiful pieces. I always loved going in his shop to hang out and smell the saw dust shavings.
He was a disciplinarian ... "remember this is not a democracy, this is a dictatorship ... and if you would like for me to be benevolent dictator ... please do what I ask. Now." 😌 And my biggest fan ... my siblings biggest fan.
He made time in his "busi-ness" to place not only his marriage & his wife but his family as priority while being a respected business person. From my theatre gigs, to Gregg Stone's sports, to Claudine Harding Andrews dance recitals he was there usually coming directly from work.
Many ladies called him the "Silver Fox" and my gay boyfriends = 😛 "THAT'S your Dad?" LOL. Polite, modest and rather dashing, he was my own Cary Grant. He didn't do it alone, my Mother was his co-pilot and his trusted companion.
I have done some really shitty things in my life ... and I try to live with less regret every day. My Dad loved me, anyway and I miss hearing "Hey Mouse, what's up?" I miss that more now than ever before. 🙁
My brother is a terrific Father and has grown into the man he is with the help of many but mostly, my sister-in-law, Kristen Conroy Harding. I love him and his family, deeply. 🤘🖖😘
If your Dad is still living in this world, call him or go give him a hug.
Picture: Colorado, circa early 90s.
