We are forming an ad hoc reader's theatre group interested in reading new works for "one night only" - playing also off the Hawaiian word "ono" for good or a type of fish. 

For our inaugural launch we are looking at workshopping local resident author Diana Rae's book "Lingerie". She owned/operated a lingerie shop that unbeknownst to her upon opening in LA in the 1980s, that along w the cisgender clientele became a safe shop for the LGBTQ+ community. These are her stories. Poignant, hilarious and endearing even in 2025. 

We are looking for volunteer readers from the community. You don't have to be an actor per se but you would need to be able to project/enunciate in order to be understood by an audience. You will most likely sit or may need to stand to read a script. Small time  commitment, couple of rehearsals & the performance.

We will then look at a new reader's theatre performances. Our hopes are to have a readers performance every other month. Have a project you would like to be a part of an ONO?
